Sydney Parks Orienteering Series #6

11 February 2008 (Mon)                    Rydalmere- NEW MAP

The University is built around the original Female Orphan School
completed in 1818. You will be running among these historic buildings.
In 1818 boats bought 100 girls, a Matron and a Master up the
Parramatta River to the boathouse. A long walk up the grand steps did
not always provide the security and safety that the girls needed.
The site is now a mixture of old and new buildingd with many thousands
of students mixed in.

The Orienteering will provide many twists and turns with plenty of
course choice.
 
Venue   UWS Parramatta campus.  Enter from Victoria Road

Transport  The venue is very central. Busses travel along Victoria
from all over Sydney. Rydalmere train station is adjacent to the Uni
and the Parramatta Ferry terminal is only a 1km easy walk or bike ride
away.

Time   Starts between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.  Course closure 7:30pm.

Courses   Course distance 2.5-3 km (1 course)

Entry Fee   Senior $9, Junior $7, Extra maps $2
